I'm Brîndușa. I check what others launch on trust.
I'm a senior software test analyst. For over 15 years I've been checking products before they reach people, and 12 of those years were spent at the same software development company, on large and very large projects built by complex teams of specialists.
From defects nobody sees to sites that don't break at the first customer
Most of my testing career was spent at a single software development company, on large and very large projects built by complex teams of specialists.
At this scale you don't check isolated pages. Systems have many parts that must work together, deadlines are real, and a mistake that slips through reaches many people at once. That is where I learned the discipline of the job: planning what I check and in what order, documenting clearly what I find, and speaking in terms each person understands, from developers to the people who make business decisions.
Easier to prevent than to repair
I've often seen projects that start fast skip verification because they want to launch. And I've watched more and more websites and prototypes get built quickly with the help of AI, without anyone knowing which parts stay fragile.
A bug found before launch takes minutes to fix. The same bug found by a customer costs trust, sometimes the customer. That's why I like to get involved early: while a product is still being built, problems are easy to solve.
When AI is part of building, I use it as an accelerator, not as a replacement for critical thinking. However fast AI can build, responsibility for a good product stays with people.
